“Good Food & Fun Decor”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

My family came in from Onekama for my review of this place out they are glad we did! the wait staff is very genuine and the menu is large However, the large menu and the lack of enough broilers in the kitchen combined for 30+ min ticket times. When the food arrived it was delicious and the portions were large. I ordered the walleye and left full and pleased. I will recommend this place in the future and plan to eat there again.

“Great atmosphere”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

The outside looks a little sketchy.. but once you walk through the door you're glad you did!! The decorations on the walls are so cute. The service was great. The waitress was very friendly. It seemed like the kind of place that has regulars. The food was very good too!! The biscuits were great!!! Good prices!!

“Don't judge a book by its cover.”

It may look a little rundown or tacky but this place makes up for it with the food for sure. I had the tiger shrimp and my other half had the lake perch. both were delicious. Also, the lady running the bar and serving the whole other side of the restaurant was very nice and attentive. Great service! would definitely eat here again!

This is a great place to eat. TPL is a neighborhood bar/restaurant that is worth a visit. We enjoy our meals there.

“A facinating step back in time!”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

A Saloon? You ask yourself as you drive around back of this kind of ramshackled building, "are you sure this is where I want to eat lunch?" YES! This is diffinately where you want to eat lunch or dinner or anything in between! Clean as a pin, but cluttered with reminders of days gone by, and not cluttered, but frequented by locals who know that this is the place to eat or have a drink. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, including the owners who seem to enjoy visiting with their neighbors, friends, and us travelers. The food is awesome and plentiful, you certainly won't go away hungry!
Don't miss the opportunity to visit this look into our past and enjoy the local patter of friendship between the locals.
