Have been coming up to Little River Casino for 10+ years with a group of golf buddies. Nice casino, low minimum games. Only complaint is the rooms that I use to pay $90 per night for are now $199. Apparently they can fill them

Room was well prepared and clean. Went on a Sunday for the crab leg buffet. No waiting line at 2 pm but later be prepared to be in line for awhile. One tray of legs at a time,so they empty out quickly.. but are replaced just as fast. So always hot.

Room tip: No idea as first come.

The Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, Michigan, is in this traveler’s opinion, the finest of its kind in this neck of the woods. Being Players Club members in a dozen casinos in the midwest, and a few more in Reno and Las Vegas, I say this with some background in such establishments. With us, it is always the people that make the difference and our experience with the casino staff was as good as it gets in this setting. Casinos are busy, sometimes hectic places, where employees embrace the pace. They are trained to be neutral participants in the emotional flow on the floor. But at this casino, we were welcomed by a well-dressed gentleman behind the desk who was genuinely interested in providing us with the right room, the right casino advice, the lay of the land, and a friendly hand shake to seal the deal. Sean looked fit and alert and misplaced in his choice of occupations. He could have easily passed as a government agent, or well- healed athlete, but by choice he was the best representative that Little River could have hired. Our compliments to the person in the personnel department who had the eye for talent.

Our room was a well-appointed King Suite, nicely decorated and twice the size of a New York apartment. Complete with two bathrooms, a Jacuzzi master bath, two fireplaces, sitting room, small refrigerator, stylish furniture and a comfortable king bed - Sean said that we wouldn’t be disappointed and he was right. After getting ready to go down to the restaurant, we stopped at the desk to thank Sean for setting us up so well but he had already left for home. If you decide to stop here, maybe you’ll get lucky and find him manning the desk.

Everything else was first rate. The food selection was plentiful, tasteful, and reasonably priced. The hotel and casino staff was helpful and friendly. The interior architecture brings the outdoors to the inside of the building with running waterfalls, brooks, gardens, and a teepee shaped glass ceiling that opens to the sky. There is a small museum that gives you a glimpse of the traditions and history of the Little River Band of the Ottawa Tribe that is worth seeing. All in all, this was a stop worth making. Even though after gaming we left a little poorer, we were richer for the experience.

We really enjoyed the property. We don't really gamble. This property had a nice workout room as well as an indoor and a separate outdoir pool. The only downside of our stay was that there was a lot of hair left in the bathtub.
