Friendly and helpful staff - upgraded to a jacuzzi room on arrival for a small additional fee. Room was clean and recently updated. Breakfast was comprehensive - biscuits and sausage gravy, waffles, cereal, bagels, donuts, etc. Would stay here again!

This is a great place to stay. The staff is super friendy and helpful. And this place is very clean. The breakfast room is very clean and the breakfast is very good. I would recommend this facility to everyone. Also they upgraded my room to a lake view for a minimum price and the view was fantastic.

We have stayed at Hamilton Inn at least twice a year for past three years and most recent visit was probably last. Over time the rooms are becoming worn/dated and are well over due for some remodeling - even when clean they don't really look fresh. When I initially placed the reservation for my most recent visit, it took a 20 minute escalation to the manager to get the hotel to honor the pricing posted on the internet (and they clearly weren't happy). During the visit we asked if we could check out an hour late on Sunday morning. We were informed (with a less than friendly response) that the checkout time is not flexible and if we failed to check out by exactly noon we would need to pay for an extra day. Not exactly a customer friendly policy, the hotel was virtually empty and it was clear no one was going to check in that afternoon (or more likely until the next weekend). There are plenty of options in Mackinaw City and between the room quality and the management attitude, you may want to consider an alternative.

We had a great night in a King room with Jacuzzi. We were upgraded for free because it was our first stay. The hotel is close to shopping and the waterfront so we could easily walk to both. The Breakfast was fantastic.

Check in was smooth and pleasant. Room was large & comfortable but cleanliness was not the best. There was only one elevator which was not very adequate for the size of the property. It was a very long walk from the elevator to our room which made it a bit difficult for my elderly Mother. It was moderately priced.
