We stayed here Tues - Thursday. We thought this hotel was clean, comfortable, had a great breakfast every day (we DIDN'T have to go to another building, it was right upstairs), beautiful view, and LOVED the waterpark for the kids! Downsides; water in the waterpark was a little cold, and though there is sufficient sandy area just outside the hotel - like i you had a toddler/sandcastles- the lakeside was horrible and rocky (could be due to receding water). No fantasy walking along the beach/frolicking in the surf here. Those 2 things combined made no water fun for mom and dad (kids could not have cared less!) We would have also liked a locking screen door to keep toddlers in and allow breeze in. Overall or under 100 per night, you can't beat it - we would stay again.

Indoor water park was absolutely gross. Room was good. Service also ok. Busloads of kids show up from other hotels and go bonkers. Thunder falls outdoor water park near by is by far superior. Location is fine as this is not a big town. We did not try the breakfast.

Room Tip: The one bedroom on the top floor has no balcony but is very large.

This was our first time staying at Bridge Vista Beach Hotel but it was our 8 year visiting Mackinaw City. This was by far the nicest hotel that we stayed at in Mackinaw City. The room we had was a great size, very clean and updated. The hotel staff were all great. The free breakfast was delicious and the breakfast attendent was excellent making sure the tables were clean and that everything was well stocked. The pool area is great for kids of all ages. Some people may complain that the lifeguard doesn't watch the kids in the lazy river but that is not their responsibility. The lifeguard is only there for the two big water slides to make sure that the kids are safe on those slides. At most hotels YOU are responsible for watching your kids not the lifeguard. My kids really enjoyed the pool area. We didn't get to use the beach but it did have a really nice beach area. This is definitely the hotel that we are going to from now on.

We weren't sure what to expect for the price. Upon arrival we were able to check in early and upgrade to a waterfront Jacuzzi room for a small additional fee. The staff was great!! We were very happy with the room. It was a good size, very clean, and had a nice bathroom. The waterpark was awesome, our 3 year old had a wonderful time. The breakfast was better than the one we had on the island the morning before that cost us $17, Bridge Vista's was free. We are planning on comming back and staying again this fall.

Disappointing room. Paid extra for room with private balcony on water and room only had a window looking at water. Coffee maker in bathroom. While at the waterpark with my children, 25 teenagers came in and started attacking one another in lazy river while my little ones were in it, lifeguard did absolutely nothing. My six year old went down kiddy yellow colored waterslide and there isn't enough clearance at the bottom of slide to the side of the cement pool... He hit his face on the cement, lips and teeth bleeding everywhere! We headed to get a towel and there were none, walked all the way to the front desk to ask for help. Man behind counter just starred at us. I asked for some ice and told him what happened and he said nothing. I had to ask for ice again and asked for the manager. He said he was the manager. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked the trip through hotwire and received an exceptional value for the price. The check in staff were kind and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious and was mostly well stocked. The woman working the breakfast area worked hard enough for 2 people! It had a beautiful view of the bridge and surrounding docks. The kids loved the waterpark, but were unable to go more than once due to the hours. As parents we felt obligated to watch the children due to there only being 1 "life guard". It was hard to determine if he even worked at the hotel as he was dressed in casual clothing. It was a short distance (approximately 2-3 blocks) from our ferry to Mackinac Island. Overall a wonderful experience, and I would love to go back for our next trip to Mackinaw City.

Room Tip: Courtside rooms are quiet, and close to the breakfast room.

We traveled to the area for a visit to the Island. We stayed at the Bridge Vista for two nights--I selected it because of the water park and the price. We (grandparents--traveled with daughter, son-in-law and 2 punkins--9 and 3 years old and had 2 rooms).

Posiitives: The rooms, cleanliness and service were just fine. The staff very friendly; the rooms were clean. The breakfast was above average--cereal, muffins, fruit, etc., but also eggs, sausage, and sausage gravy.

Negatives: no dry pool towels the first night (I guess they use an outside source who dropped the ball!) and the water park water could be warmer. All in all--a good value for the price. BTW--we travel a lot.
