Just checked out this morning from a 2-night stay at the Pontiac Lodge. It was clean, well cared for, and in an incredibly excellent location. It is literally across the street from the Shepler's Ferry Dock, so no cab is needed. It is also right on the main street where all the restaurants and shops are, and a 5 minute walk to the Grand Hotel. Why pay $700+ a night? We were able to walk to the Grand Hotel, where the $10 fee they charge for visiting the place is credited to the $40 lunch buffet offered daily. We were able to tour and enjoy the Grand Hotel for the price of their expensive (but worth it!) lunch. Pontiac Lodge was the best lodging deal we found in town, and we'd certainly stay there again.
