Stayed here on a weekend trip to Mackinac Island. The hotel is directly across the street from the Shepler's ferry dock, so it was very convenient for us. The room are decent sized, old, but very clean. New flat screen tvs, a fridge, and microwave. Also free wi-fi. Our room looked right out over Main street. Bring your bike over on the ferry, there is a spot outside to lock your bike with free air for the tires and it is much cheaper than renting one while one Mackinac Island. The staff was very nice, but they leave in the evening, so no late night check-ins.
There are some funny quirks about the place, such as the camping lantern that came with our room (for emergencies?), the bakers rack full of old paperback books next to the bed, the bright yellow towels, and the pink and green pillows that didn't match the bedding. Strange, but fun and affordable. We would stay here again.More
