“Very tasty with attentive service & chill ambience.”
Reviewed July 31, 2011

My husband & I stopped in for lunch. We sat at the bar w. Scott the bartender. He was very efficient but also charming. The owner, Mary, was there & likewise charming & happy to answer our questions about the island. The atmosphere was inviting & relaxing on the waterfront. You can sit outside on Main street or on the back deck over the water, but trhe airconditioning was heaven inside. Scott said he hadn't tried the soup of the day, broc-chedder, but all the soups he tried were good. My husband & I split a cup & it was yummy. I loved the salad & we had to try the chips. Worth breaking a diet to try w. warm bleu chez sauce. My husband loved his chicken salad w. mangos & other treats.

“Nice setting but skip the food”
Reviewed July 30, 2011

Had dinner there. Location is great abd you can see the ferries come and go. We ordered the pizza which was not tasty at all. Service was friendly but the waiter did not return to our table until I asked for the check. I would skip this place on my next visit

“Great service that allows pets!”
Reviewed July 26, 2011

Wife and I ate here today after reading reviews here on Tripadvisor. Ate on the porch which has a different menu than the inside does. However they do allow dogs out on the patio which is wonderful for this pet friendly town. We didn't have our dog with us today but will take her back. They even brought out a dog dish for the table behind us that had their dog. The outside menu isn't as extensive as the indoor one but they grill a good burger. View of the bay is spectactular. Service was friendly and prompt considering it was during the lunch rush. Will return again when we go back.

“Good food, nice view.”
Reviewed July 24, 2011

A casual bar/pub/diner like place on Main Street with a view of the water. Great roasted chicken. Good food. Comfortably casual with a nice water view and outdoor seating. Good for friends and families.

“Well worth the stop”
Reviewed July 21, 2011

I am on Mackinac Island once a year for a sail race, and have made a stop or more to Mary's Bistro for food or libations. The service is very attentive, and the food is excellent. The outdoor seating is spacious for Mackinac island and the view is good. Highly recommended.
