This marked our 9th year on the island and three years staying at Market Street Inn and I still will not go to no other lodging on the island Kristen makes you feel like you are at home and always welcome. The rooms are great and just the right size and so is the breakfast it holds us over till lunch as we go exploring the island right after breakfast and sometimes do not get back till 2 or 3 in the afternoon where fudge and cookies are waiting for us and if we want a cup of tea or hot cocoa even coffee the beverage center is always open for us. We love going in the fall as it is not as crowded and the shops are having great sales and the trees are so beautiful. The weather is cool and brisk great for hiking the island this year we found so many trails and landmarks we have never seen it still hold many more secerts for a small island it has alot to do love it. I want to mention one more thing about our great hostess Kristen the day we left we decided to do alittle shopping in Mackinaw City we were alittle late getting to the ferry as we usually take a earlier ferry to get exploring on the island sooner but did not get there till the 1:30 ferry the weather that day was very very windy and they had to cancel the trip and did not know if they could run but at 2:30 they decided to run it was a bumpie trip but we make it when we docked I got a phone call from Kristen wondering what had happen to us she was waiting for us and was worried she could not believe the ferry did not run. That was up and beyound her duty as a hostess it made us feel great I consider her not only our innkeeper but our friend. Cant wait till next year see you soon.
