Description: This fabulous Mackinac Island eatery features an appropriate horse theme from the 1938 true life story of the famous horse, Seabiscuit. A great deal of care was taken to restore the original brick surfaces, hardwood floors and new furnishings have transformed the 1800’s bank building into a cozy, comfortable restaurant. An excellent casual menu appropriately fits this charming place. Seabiscuit fans rave about the Lobster Roll, Deep Fried Macaroni Balls, Guinness Cheese Crock, Whitefish Chowder And Warm Apple Carrot Cake. Top it off with a Manmosa, a mango infused vodka with champagne. A fine wine selection is available along with a full bar so stop in for an afternoon cocktail or stay for the evening sipping your favorite martini.

“Great savoury dishes”

A good choice for lunch amidst all that fudge. Especially Loved the HOT buffalo wings with the blue cheese sauce - yumm. The service was also terrific.

“Cozy atmosphere, good food”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Seabiscuit is located along the harbour in the heart of the tourist area on Mackinac Island. The small, cozy dining area was abuzz with talk about sailing. Like most restaurants on the island, the prices were high but within a reasonable range. We had a whitefield chowder bowl and Greek salad; both were delicious. Service was good.

“Now serving breakfast”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

This is my favorite place to eat on Mackinac Island. Interesting menu. Had lunch one day---the whitefish reuben sandwich was outstanding. The next day we had breakfast. Service was friendly and attentive, food is excellent ,and I love the atmosphere. It's nice to see they offer gluten free meals. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants a good meal at a very affordable price.
