Description: This fabulous Mackinac Island eatery features an appropriate horse theme from the 1938 true life story of the famous horse, Seabiscuit. A great deal of care was taken to restore the original brick surfaces, hardwood floors and new furnishings have transformed the 1800’s bank building into a cozy, comfortable restaurant. An excellent casual menu appropriately fits this charming place. Seabiscuit fans rave about the Lobster Roll, Deep Fried Macaroni Balls, Guinness Cheese Crock, Whitefish Chowder And Warm Apple Carrot Cake. Top it off with a Manmosa, a mango infused vodka with champagne. A fine wine selection is available along with a full bar so stop in for an afternoon cocktail or stay for the evening sipping your favorite martini.

Ate at this restaurant on a very wet October evening. Loved the Halloween decorations and the cosy atmosphere. Our waitress Lindsay was absolutely lovely, very friendly & chatty. The fish and chips were super tasty. A perfect experience on our first night in Mackinac Island.

the waitress was extremely friendly and accomodating. The food tasty and the prices great. The atmosphere was very cozy. An older lady warmly greeted the customers at the door.

2 out of 5 only because the place was nice inside and the food was mediocre. Our server was rude, "what do you want to drink?" was our greeting. Never came by to see how our food was or if we needed anything. And the late night menu sucked.

Had one of the best meals of our trip at Seabiscuit Cafe. I also loved the design and decor of the restaurant and bar. Small and quaint with warm colors and of course a horse racing theme. I will definitely return at my next visit to Mackinac Island

During our three days on the island we ate at five different restaurants. Since this was our first visit we decided to rate the restaurants from one to five, one being our favorite and five our least favorite. Interestingly we agreed on the rating, which is unusual at best. This place was our second choice. The food was very good and the servers were quite personable. This is on the top of our list of places to eat when we next visit the island.
