This lovely, cozy restaurant feels like and old club.

The food was excellent, the service same.

Easy if you are staying in the hotel, if not, worth the effort to get here.

We stayed at the hotel and purchased the dinner as part of a package for our 25th anniversary. This place was what we had hoped. It was a bit of a nostalgic 19th century experience. The dining room was cozy and elegant with wonderful furnishings. The dinner selections tended toward traditional American and were terrific. We greatly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this for a nice dinner for anyone visiting or staying on the Island.

This was our last night on the island after having (mind you 3 meals a day) at all the other restaurants that we we're recommend too or found walking around. We hadn't found a single restaurant in which we could be excited to tell people. Well this restaurant finally served some delicious meal (minus the rissotto) but. The main course meals were delicious. The steak was juicy and tender. The chicken was good, it was a bit dry but then again it was the white meat that was served from the chicken. The asparagus was awesome. For their cocktails they had quite a variety but we we settled for a dessert drink per se...mud slides! Which have ice cream in its concoction and they were excellent. They did have an actual person playing the piano. (We were told it is a nightly event not just weekends) so that added to the ambiance. The view (if you get seated by the window) is lovely while your enjoying dinner with your loved one or just making memories with friends and family. Their dress code is actually quite lax. Some people were dressed up others in casual jeans or sweaters so don't feel bad if you want to enjoy a nice romantic dinner and you forgot to pack some dressy clothes.

After searching and eating at the many bistro style diners on the island we were delighted to find this elegant and dignified restaurant. We ate a lovely meal listening to the beautiful subtle piano music that added to the atmosphere. So happy to have a good dining experience on the island.

The package we had at the hotel included a $40 voucher, otherwise the restaurant , in general is not a restaurant we would have went to. That being said the saving grace of the meal was the asparagus appetizer and the chocolate tort for dessert. My husband had the whitewash which he said was prepaid well, but was not sure the method of preparation was a good choice. I had the perch which had been rolled in flour before being pan fried. I know this because I could still taste the flour. The view is great, but you can get the same view from outside. I would recommend staying outside and heading to a different restaurant for your evening meal.
