We've stayed at this hotel many times but this time we really lucked out and got one of the four most requested rooms in the hotel -- our suite opened onto the pool patio and boy was it worth it! Overlooking the pool and yacht harbor you really feel special in this hotel and we were only steps away from the outdoor bar and grill and outdoor seating of the famous Pink Pony bar! The beds were comfortable. The kids loved the heated pool and my wife and I enjoyed the very reasonably priced food and drinks ... we really didn't want to leave the hotel on this trip to Mackinac Island ... We'd take this historic but very clean and updated hotel any day over the island's other lodging options -- even the Grand Hotel! Can you tell we had a great time?
