They were really friendly and allowed our inexperienced and too young kids (ages 8 and 9) to take a "practice" ride around the front of the stable. We'll be back when we have some experience and height!

Busy place and day we had planned to ride our own buggy was no exception. Our shuttle driver called ahead and they said come on but when we arrived they were booked. Would be ok except they were very rude about it in front of my daughter so I didn't appreciate it. Plus...just tell our shuttle driver you are booked...

We were so surprised to learn that you could rent a horse and buggy and travel on your own about the island. What a treat that was. My wife knows horses and has done some driving but that's not necessary to drive off on your own. The folks at Jacks have very well behaved and well trained horses. They will match you up with a horse appropriate for you and provide necessary instruction.

From talking to them and seeing their operation we were impressed not only with the health of the horses and the maintenance of their equipment but how they treated their guests. Even novices were treated with respect and given the confidence to do something that few of us ever do.

Don't miss this! It might seem expensive but compare it to the cost of a massage for two. I guarantee that an hour or so touring the island at your own pace with the gentle clip-clop of a horse will be way more relaxing and something you'll always remember.

Had a great time touring the island with the family on horseback. Everyone had a great time. They matched the horses with the skill of the rider, including a first timer. Our guide was very friendly and it was a lot of fun to ride up by the Grand Hotel and then in the woods on the top of the island. Really enjoyed the ride!

Driving the horses was fun, but it got to be expensive, more than we should have paid. Not that we were cheated, but the route causes you to take more than one hour, which was $64.00
