So we walk past the Chuck Wagon the morning we arrived on the island and the place was packed. We'd just eaten so we slated it for our dinner meal. Except we never looked at their hours. We show up around 6:30 after a long day and were sad to discover they were not open for dinner. The hubs and I get the map out to figure out somewhere else to eat, disappointed we missed out on this place the only day we were visiting. Then a man walks up to us as he'd noticed my husband and I outside looking sad and grumbling. He was the owner. He was so apologetic that they were closed and asked us what kind of meal we were looking for and made a couple dinner recommendations for us. A few minutes later as we were making our way to a suggested place he caught us up and gave us some fudge. Now if that isn't the nicest thing ever I just don't know what is. Any one like that must run a great place. And it certainly was packed earlier.
I'll be sure to pay it forward and if he reads this I want to say to him: Thank you! You made our 20th anniversary and our day on the Island more memorable AND we still had a great meal as a result of your suggestion!
