After checking into our suite next to this wonderful little place, we needed a quick bite to eat so we could get started exploring the Island. Little did we know that you could have a love affair with just a hamburger. This place makes the best old-fashioned hamburger I've ever eaten. The next morning it was raining so we slipped over to the Chuck Wagon and returned to our suite with a delicious breakfast to enjoy in front of our bay window at the Main Street Inn while watching all the workers bicycling to work. The Chuck Wagon is very small, quaint, clean, with reasonable prices. YUMMY.

My family and I ate here for lunch the day I arrived on the Island. We all ordered a burger, my dad getting a normal one, and my mom and I getting the rattlesnake burger. It was so spicy and delicious! And to top it off it came on a pretzel bun- my FAVORITE. It does not come with fries, I think it's 2.50 to add them? Somewhere between 2 and 3 bucks, but it does come with chips. It is very nice because they cook it right in front of you so you know exactly what's going on with your food! They are very quick and your food arrives shortly after you order it. I am getting hungry typing this review! The only downside is it is VERY small, so if you have a large group I'm not sure you'll fit.

My wife and I ate breakfast here 1 morning during our stay on mackinac island. This is a small restaurant with a counter and some tables. We set at the counter across from the grill. The service was excellent and the food very good. This is the place to go for breakfast on mackinac island.

My wife and I were on the Island for 4 days this last weekend and had the pleasure of eating at the Chuck Wagon twice for lunch. They have the best burgers we have ever had and if we had time for one meal on the Island we it would be the Chuck Wagon. We will be going back to the Island later on in the season and will not miss another chance to eat at the Chuck Wagon!

You can't compare the burgers to anyone else's ...( you have to try there blue cheese burger )...there breakfast is fantastic. Service is spectacular. It's an all a round great place...so if your planning a trip the chuck wagon is the place to be!!
