“Does this restaurant have a scenic view?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

It's all about the view. You can't beat it. Looking out over the city, the marina, lighthouses, and the water. This time was could even see a game of 1860's baseball being played in front of the Grand Hotel which is about a 1/2 mile away. We love the view. We even paid the entry fee to the Fort primarily to eat at the Tea Room. The food and the service is ok but that's not what it's about. It's all about the view. The waitstaff was attentive and met standard. I remember the menu being a little more connected to the Fort at one time but I may be mistaken. For example, they have Hummus now. Not something that would have been served at the Fort. This time my wife and I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich and a bowl of Broccoli Cheese soup which were both very good. We shared them and had plenty to eat for the two of us. The sandwich came with chips, pickles, and a fresh fruit cup. We had been in a race earlier in the day and we both went through many glasses of water and lemon-aid which helped rehydrate us. We were good and did not order the Grand Pecan Ball which we have had in the past and really enjoyed. The weather was perfect and the bright yellow umbrellas kept off the afternoon sun. It was a good day to be on the Island and eating at the restaurant with the best view in town.

“Fantastic view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

Our group ate lunch here while visiting the Fort. The menu was small but everyone was able to find something they wanted. The sandwiches were excellent and the service was good. We did have to dodge the sun as it was a very bright and sunny day, but the umbrellas did help with that somewhat. The view was outstanding. We were glad we waited a day before going to the fort as we knew what we were looking. We would recommend the Tea Room for anyone visiting Fort Mackinac.

“Lunch at the Fort”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

Situated on the balconies of the former officer quarters, this venue provides nice views on an ideal weather day when we visited. The food variety was fairly limited, but of fresh derivation and well prepared. Service was adequate.
