It's all about the view. You can't beat it. Looking out over the city, the marina, lighthouses, and the water. This time was could even see a game of 1860's baseball being played in front of the Grand Hotel which is about a 1/2 mile away. We love the view. We even paid the entry fee to the Fort primarily to eat at the Tea Room. The food and the service is ok but that's not what it's about. It's all about the view. The waitstaff was attentive and met standard. I remember the menu being a little more connected to the Fort at one time but I may be mistaken. For example, they have Hummus now. Not something that would have been served at the Fort. This time my wife and I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich and a bowl of Broccoli Cheese soup which were both very good. We shared them and had plenty to eat for the two of us. The sandwich came with chips, pickles, and a fresh fruit cup. We had been in a race earlier in the day and we both went through many glasses of water and lemon-aid which helped rehydrate us. We were good and did not order the Grand Pecan Ball which we have had in the past and really enjoyed. The weather was perfect and the bright yellow umbrellas kept off the afternoon sun. It was a good day to be on the Island and eating at the restaurant with the best view in town.
