“The best!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

This is the most spectacular buffet we have ever been to! There are approximately 8-10 buffet tables set up on two sides of the dining room aisle. Starting with a wonderful fresh salad, chilled shrimp, clams, salmon, hot dishes, carving station, and deserts (including Crème Brule). The dining room is the most busy and noisy from 12-1:00, however the buffet goes till 2:00 (the later the better). If you go to the far left side all the way to the back the tables overlook the golf course and there is a restroom in this far back corner. This back area is less chaotic and much quieter. Also, there are hundreds of people dining with tour groups…who are in a hurry due to schedule limitations…much better to skip the rush and go after 1:00.

“One time experience”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Living in Michigan, I've never had any interest in staying at the Grand, there are so many beautiful hotels on the Island and doing the tour with my daughter's 5th grade class was enough for me. However, I went last weekend with my mom and aunt and they both were interested in seeing the inside and having the buffet, so of course I'd never argue with my mother. It was pretty impressive. The amount of food, quality of the food and choices were amazing. The staff worked hard and was there to please. Felt special for sure. 3 very large variety elegant dessert tables. It was worth the time, price, and I can now say I had lunch at the Grand. However, it was not so amazing that I'd run right back. In fact, I'll probably never do it again unless my mom makes me. Also, if you are looking for a quiet lunch, this is not the place. Very busy and crowded.

“Great variety!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

I was at a Rotary Zone Institute at the Grand, so we had many meals. I enjoyed the buffet because there were so many choices. Fresh green salad, cheese & crackers, hot entrees, great desserts. The wait staff was wonderful. They made sure you had what you wanted and went out of their way to answer questions. There's something for everyone at the Grand Luncheon Buffet!

“Grand Buffet”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

We had the Luncheon Buffet included as part of our hotel package and it was yummy, but I can understand why people think $40 is pricey. It is an extensive and yummy buffet, but $40 for lunch anywhere is kinda crazy. But if you can't/aren't staying at The Grand, $40 for lunch and to walk around just might be worth it once. The buffet has both hot and cold items - I love the fresh tomato and mozzerella salad and the amazing desserts. You get iced tea or lemonade included and the lemonade is real not from a soda machine so try it! Just try to get there before 1:15 (it's from 12-2) because they start combining around then and packing up around

“average buffet”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

rip off to charge $40. for this bland average buffet. Arrive before crowds of bus tours or you'll be fighting for space in line. Jello! come on grand hote!l you can do better.
Nothing great about this buffet, everything tastes the same.
