A quaint town; beautiful historic homes lining the streets and some history to go with your stay. The owners, Chris & Bill, are welcoming and gracious hosts. The house is clean and comfy, withing walking distance of restaurants and has a great gathering area for evening or pre breakfast. Coffee or tea available 24/7 along with homemade cookies. It would be hard to ask for more, but if you did, it would be an outstanding breakfast, which they also provided. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Close to State Parks and beautiful Lake Michigan. Independent restaurants abound.

We stopped here for the night as we traveled through town. The greeting from Kris was wonderful and we enjoyed the tour of the house describing its rich history. We went out for dinner and returned to cookies, coffee, and brandy. After a restful night's sleep, we were treated to Bill's morning to cook and had delightful German apple pancakes with french press coffee. What a wonderful escape!!!

Room Tip: Stayed in the blue room. Room was nice -- bathroom a bit small -- but not unusual for older homes converted to a B&B.

Beautiful home. I will admit I was leery because I don't like older homes but this one has such a warm, welcoming feel. We were greeted at the door by Bill who promptly gave us a historical rundown of the home and family. Kris was out of town so we did not get to meet her. The room was very nice, the hot tub was pretty amazing and I enjoyed just hanging out in the hot tub away from the kids, job, and life. The only minor drawback was that there were no robes in our room but that wasn't a big deal.

The breakfasts were out of this world... The first morning we had a hashbrown casserole, fresh strawberries with whip cream, and bacon Orange Juice and French Press coffee. The 2nd morning we had Peach Schnapps French Toast, Baked Fruit, Sausage, OJ and Coffee. The coffee is amazing.

We spent almost an entire afternoon in the Parlor. I did some reading on the history of the Cartier family and Ludington. My wife enjoyed a puzzle that we ended up working on.

I would HIGHLY recommend The Ludington House to anyone looking for a quiet get away. We walked to downtown Ludington in about 3 minutes and shopped for 2-3 hours. We had dinner at the Blue Moon Bistro which was very good.

We will be back God Willing so we can meet Kris!!

Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home.

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary. They were so nice and accommodating! We got a discount because of our anniversary and they provide a bottle of champagne, fruit and cheese plate, rose, and 50$ gift card for the romance package (80$). Very well kept and amazing history!! The rose room was relaxing. We can't wait to come back!

Our short, one night stay was just what we needed. Bill and Kris were very welcoming. An excellent breakfast. We stayed in "the corner room" and truly enjoyed the warm comfortable feel of the room. A wonderful stay in Ludington, we will most certainly be back!

Room Tip: The corner room has traffic noise.
