My wife and I stayed here one night while traveling up the coast. This hotel may be old but the owners have updated the rooms and keep the grounds nice. They serve breakfast and were very helpful providing details of where to go eat and things to see in the area. We enjoyed the lighthouse and the beach area where we watched the sunset. We will be back. The only negative was my bed pillow.

Spent Thursday night and had a wonderful, fun girls night, then Friday the hubs joined us until Sunday. The Inn was wonderful. Rooms are immaculate, grounds are beautiful, relaxing, and calming. Breakfast is delightful. Keith and Suzette are wonderful hosts. Ludington has lots to offer from shopping to site seeing to charter fishing to just relaxing. I always leave a little part of my heart in Ludington and it always leaves me wanting more.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights this past week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our second visit to Summers Inn and it won't be our last. Quiet, relaxing..best breakfast around. Owners go out of their way to see you have all you need. Can't wait to visit again next year...go there, you won't be sorry.

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing and sound proof! I didn't hear a peep from anyone. A wonderful retreat to...

My husband and I along with 2 other couples, just spent a weekend at this
lovely, peaceful motel. Definitely not your standard box hotel, this establishment is a renovated motel from the 50's brought to life with soft friendly details that draw you in and melt away your stress. The rooms are neat and clean and make you feel like you are staying at someone's residence. The color schemes and the bedding ...the chairs and the unique shabby chic artful renovations of furnishings will have the best pinterest-er green with envy. There are outdoor seating areas in front and the sweetest spot behind the motel where you can congregate with friends or just take a good book and relax after a day at the beach. There is a screened in porch off the breakfast room that we never wanted to leave and a wonderful library room towards the back. Your stay includes breakfast made to order upon your arrival in the morning which includes 2 delicious slices of their homemade bread made on site each day. You can purchase a bottle of Michigan wine to enjoy and the attentive proprietors, Suzette and Keith will handle any of your questions about what is going on in the area providing directions and/or phone numbers. We met lovely people who have been returning for years and with this first experience, we completley understand why...

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much at the Summers Inn, along with my parents, and sister. It is a clean, charming place, and we appreciated the many tasteful and creative design touches inside and out. The owners, Keith and Suzette, obviously enjoy what they do and take great pride in providing a comfortable, unique and special place aesthetically for their guests. We enjoyed our casual conversations with them in the morning. They and the staff are friendly, pleasant, and helpful with anything you need. We loved the delicious, fresh homemade bread and an egg scramble made by Keith, which were beautifully plated with fresh fruit and served to us both mornings. The coffee was very good too. Our deluxe queen room had a very comfortable mattress and nice seating area that we used. Summers Inn is fairly close to the downtown and beach, and a short drive to the wonderful State Park. We look forward to our next stay!

My wife and I spent two nights at the Summers Inn and it was suprisingly great for a romantic getaway. Besides the beach, shopping in town of Ludington, restaurants nearby, the hotel provided a relaxed atmosphere, with evening wine tasting. We were able to sample wine, buy a bottle and take to the outdoor patio which had a large open air tent and pond with waterfall. Several indoor sitting rooms were available also (if raining). Breakfast is partially self-serv with omlettes and fruit served to your table. Looked to be a family run hotel. Rooms have been updated, very clean, and are styish. Small bathroom. However, stand up shower was large, tiled throughout, with adequate water pressure. Highly recommend for quiet, romantic, laid back, get away.

Room Tip: All room locations are fine since small property.

A few years ago we found the Summers Inn and have stayed many times since then. The owners are the best and really take pride in making their inn special. My wife and I spent over an hour walking around the property admiring the creative ways that the garden has been planted and the landscaping had been created. It's a nice walk to the downtown area or even to Lake Michigan. The wine tasting was something new that we enjoyed and the breakfast was again a nice treat in the morning. All for a reasonable price. We go out of our way to stay here on our way up north and always look forward to it. You'll like it too.
