Ludington Waterfront Park

The waterfont park located in the harbor district between the two marinas, offers family friendly amenities that few parks in any cities have.
The view of the channel that leads to Lake Michigan is picturesque and features yachts, fishing boats, and the famous Badger carferry leaving twice daily for it's trips to Wisconsin.
The park offers a variety of ecletic statues that attest to the historic development of Ludington and also to the cultural aspects of the local people.
The playground is complete with all types of traditional and interactive slides and climbing apparatus.
The open commons is immaculately maintained and plush.
There is a bandshell that is multi-purpose for entertainment and also organized event friendly.
Recently a weekend music festival played host to a ticket of 35 bands that were a mixture of local acts and also from as far away as Alaska.

Parks like this make Michigan so worth exploring. There is plenty of safe and free parking available in front of this attraction. Get out of the car and walk the dock.

Perfect for everyone. Walk out to the point. When I went to the point, waves started crashing and the energy was just so dynamic. Take your camera.

This park is open 24/7. Great for watching the Badger Car Ferry.

There are several bronze sculptures. So be sure to see and walk around each one. Just great works of art.

Check to see if there is any geocaching. Would be a great opportunity.

So much to see and do here. There is also a telescopic viewer. Use it. Lots of fun.

Very nice beach area. My friend got married on the beach and although it was very cold, she still got great wedding photos! The beach was very clean, even though it was off season.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about this park. It was the most clean, well kept, fun, safe park we've gone to. Believe me, we are at parks all the time with our daughter. Swinging and sliding is her life. This park was very large with enough to keep the attention of kids of all ages. Right on the water, which was beautiful. The landscaping was kept so beautifully, no litter, nothing at all negative to say. So much fun for the whole family. Oh, there is one tiny thing.. Changing my daughter's diaper was quite difficult. There was only normal stalls, no changing station. Very small for herself and my 7 month pregnant self to fit into a stall for a changing.
