I have both visited and camped at this park numerous times for the last 9 years. Many of the trails are both easy and scenic. This is a top shelf Michigan state park with a dam, trails, lighthouse, river, Lake Hamlin, Lake Michigan and much more!

We have enjoyed this one for sure!

J.

Great beach front on the dunes, also on beautiful Lake Hammond and River with picturesque dam. This would be a great day trip or for camping for longer stays.

I don't think this park can be recommended enough. Whether camping or visiting for the day. You can't beat Ludington State Park. Definitely the best park in the state.

This is a nice park, standard campsites; very close together. There are a lot of options for activities. I would hate to see it in the summer months. One visit was enough.

This park has all a visitor would wish for an amazing experience: grand vistas of land and sea, wonderful trails, a cafe and even a lighthouse!!

Big Sable Lighthouse is one of the few lighthouses built over 100 feet. It costs 3 dollars per adult to climb and 1 for those under 11. The 116 steps (give or take) are totally worth it...just watch your head for falling sand if fellow travelers are above you!! :)

This was a must visit for my family. I just wish I had done it sooner.
