This place shines in Ludington! Food, service and music were amazing. I order a NY Strip special that was cook perfectly to my taste - the sides were unique and delicious! My girlfriend order and escobar (white fish) special and hers was equally as delicious! I would return again and again!

Always a pleasure dining at The Blu Moon. Lots on the menu, from simple to exquisite. Fine wines, awesome deserts, cuisine to please just about everyone. And the Staff... always friendly & professional, doing their best to make your dining experience special. The decor is fun, formal, casual & accommodating for just about any occasion. Went to celebrate our belated anniversary on Saturday, 10/27. Ordered sushi, we were told it was unavailable due to sushi chef quitting prior to restaurant opening. Ok, understand, stuff happens.

We ordered several small plates and after quite a few minutes were told one of ordered items was not available (short ribs) and then told another regular item was unavailable (pierogies) when re-ordering something new. I noticed several reviewers also mentioning them being out of menu items and thought we would mention too.

After reordering, we were surprised how long it took for the first ordered small plates to come out, the place was pretty quiet.

The food was very good when it did arrive and I would recommend the shrimp and grits, as well as their special that night which was a turkey/stuffing meat loaf with a creamy gravy and mashed potatoes we split. The music and atmosphere were very nice and made up for the wait a bit.

It was one of those "off" visits after looking forward to a special spot that is normally a great experience. We don't get a chance to splurge alot, so it was a little disappointing when you get a chance to do so and leave feeling you missed out. Hopefully our next visit will be on the upside.

While staying in Ludington, our friends recommended the Blu Moon. What a great place. Very cosmopolitan. And in Ludington. Who knew? The six of us were seated in the more sophisticated dining room (the other is more sports bar). Beautifully decorated and looked like the “after” pictures from Restaurant Impossible. All fresh and upscale. The menu was quiet diverse with selections for just about any taste. I started with the soup du jour which was wonderful – but next time I’ll order a cup instead of a bowl. Very generous serving. My wife and I each tried one of the different fish dishes and both enjoyed them immensely. The only thing that was of slight disappointment is that they were out of some menu selections such as pot roast, gulf shrimp, and regular pasta. Odd for a Saturday night at 7PM. But what we did have was wonderful. Would definitely go again.
