We were out for a ride checking boat landings in the are for fishing, decided to stop in Lawton to eat. We had not been to Decoy Duck's in years, but remembered the food was good.
The wine list included area wines, which is important to me. There were several local craft beers on tap, also.
Sitting at the bar, we found the bartender friendly and efficient.
The menu offers a variety of choices, and there were specials listed on a chalkboard.
I chose the butterflied shrimp dinner which included a salad, choose of various potatoes or rice, and the vegetable of the day.
Dave chose homemade liver and onions.
Our salads were served quickly with a spicy Asian Ginger dressing. There could have been more types of greens, than just iceberg lettuce, but it was cold, crispy and good. The salad was served with a basket of homemade rolls that were warm, buttery and delicious!
The liver and onion dinner was like homemade should be. The veggie side was perfectly cooked, in season, asparagus.
My butterfly shrimp were crusty with a light breading and melted in your mouth. The French fries were
crispy and not greasy.
The owner and Chef came to talk to us and ask how our meals and service was. We enjoyed our visit there, and will return..
