It's a little run down. Looks as if it has some long time residents, I'm assuming truckers. It's just ok I would look for a different motel if I'm in the area again.
The bathroom in the hotel was very small. The toilet was VERY low to the ground and positioned in the bathroom in such a way that it was not easy to use due to the door and the tub being located so close to the toilet. The sink was actually too high for my comfort and I am of average height for a female. Carpets felt "sticky," one chair in room was broken and other chair was broken down terribly and needed to be replaced. Was never able to connect to internet. Restaurant in hotel overcharged for beverages by $3.75. When I brought this to the attention of the server, she said she would have to "review the security cameras." Not good customer service practice! The manager finally did come over and said that his server "does not overcharge people but that they would take the money off the bill "this time." Really?? If she didn't overcharge us, why would the manager come out and offer to take that off the bill? Just no customer service all the way around.
Hotel was very outdated. Old worn out furniture, old carpet, old wallpaper. Was a bit dirty. Could use a lot of updating. We had a room that had a view of the pool, room had a heavy smell of chlorine from the pool.
Booked same day... Not bad for the price. Hotel needs exterior updating. But, our room was just fine. Had issues with our fridge and they fixed it immediately. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly
We have stayed at the Ramada for the last three years, the complex is getting run down and needs updating. Spoke with a staff member who has worked there for 13 yrs, said the new owners are not ready to spend the money for updates, just putting bandaids on problems. We will ask about changes before we book for the next Oldsmobile Homecoming.
