We stayed here for two nights this past week in a room on the first floor; I really thought the hotel was very nice--updated; clean; comfortable; very friendly staff; I would definitely stay there again. The room was spacious; beds comfortable; loved having plenty of pillows; the pool was adequate; the breakfast was pretty standard---I would suggest using a higher quality plastic wear---its obviously the cheapest, but difficult to use if you need to cut something etc since its so flimsy; also would like to see an "upgrade" in the pastry area--the danish are run of the mill/kind of tasteless; maybe some good donuts/ good muffins? Would like to see a fountain pop machine in the breakfast area, like I have seen at least one of the hotels in this chain; do love that coffee is always available; the only negative I can think of is----when we stopped to inquire to see if they had a room available, i was told that there were only rooms with two doubles with a balcony available which costs a bit more; I went out to talk to my husband (he was waiting in the car) I went back in after about ten minutes and got the room; later I remembered what had been said about "only have rooms with balconies left" --we did not have a balcony, so I went to the desk to inquire why we paid more, and the girl adjusted my bill; I found that a bit concerning--if I had not asked we would have paid an extra $30 when we shouldn't have ; however she was very nice about taking care of the matter.
