“Best Pancakes for miles!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2011

Had a late breakfast in this fun and funky cafe this morning and was treated to the daily special "triple berry pancakes". A huge plate of piping hot pancakes stuffed with blackberries, raspberries and blueberries was put before me which I thoroughly enjoyed. This neighborhood favorite continues to provide top-notch breakfasts with consistently excellent and imaginative culinary delights. Bring earplugs if you can't stand extremely loud music.

“118 decibel food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2011

This is a very good place. The portions gigantic, prices reasonable, staff polite but authentically edgy. The omelets, French toast and breakfast sandwiches were loaded with flavor (and I fear a thousand calories.)

But it strives so hard to affect an alt-punk-whatever vibe that the pleasure of eating gets drowned out by nightclub sound levels of Sonic Youth and the Stooges, even at 8:30 am.
Advice: come hungry, be patient, and wear earplugs.

“Worth the Wait”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2011

Love eating here - but so does everyone else! Be prepared to wait, both to get in and to get your food. This can be off-putting for some, as can the ambiance. The decor is... unique, the music is loud, the waitstaff dress in black and are heavily pierced and tattooed. BUT everyone is friendly and seems to be having fun no matter how crazy it is. Strangers even share tables. Most importantly, the food is phenomenal. *BRING CASH* No credit cards are accepted. And always, always order off the specials menu.

“For something different that tastes amazing, this is the place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2011

The owners Zane and Vanessa really aim to please. Golden Harvest has an extensive menu and also a daily menu that changes... Large portions, cooked right in front of you. This little restaurant aims to please. My guest had waffles with a double row of whipped creme sprinkled with chocolate chips. I had scrambled eggs (fresh eggs) , seasoned hash browns ( you could have home fries) and cheesy grits (which were organic and shipped from South Carolina. One time I took Flozell Adams from the Dallas Cowboys to the restaurant and he took a to go box home with him. He also waited for 30 minutes for a seat...
It is always crowded but it is worth the wait. They don't turn any one away...
