“Love the Tortilla Soup but restaurant looked tired”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012

All of the Max & Erma's restaurants have closed near us so it is a treat to find one. I love their Tortilla Soup and their 3rd street salad. The food we had here was very good, however, the restaurant appeared to be in need of renovation. We will continue to stop at this restaurant when we are in the Lansing area, however, it would help if the inside of the restaurant got a makeover.

My favorite place. No one has Chicken Tortilla soup as good as theirs.

“Improved Food & Service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2011

My family hadn’t been to Max & Erma’s for a couple of years because the service and food weren’t that great.

We started going back about 6 months ago and were very pleased with the food & service. They have a great menu and service has improved. When we sit at a table in the bar, service is awesome. It’s not bad in the dining room but the servers in the bar area are very attentive.

The fish tacos & sliders are great. The burgers, salads and tortilla soup are also really good. My younger son likes the food from the kid’s menu. They also have some decent happy hour specials.

Max & Erma’s is a dependable family restaurant.

“The food was quite good...”

The food was quite good for a chain, but the service was about the very worst I have ever had. Two thumbs down.
