“Yummy Soups and Everything Else”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

Everything here is great, including the soups. I've been there several times and have never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is casual and the food is gourmet-ish. Waitstaff and chefs are very accommodating, I had the braised short ribs and didn't care for the sound of the sauce that came with it. My waiter asked the chef for a recommendation for a different sauce and that was delicious with the beef. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. And BONUS, they accept reservations.

“Superb dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

the Soup Spoon is easily the best restaurant for the money in Mid-Michigan. The salmon is the best I have ever had! Highly recommend the Soup spoon for whe you are entertaining out of town guests. Nice selection of Michigan craft beers too.

“Lots of Energy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

Soup Spoon is busy anytime I have ever been there. I was there yesterday and had very delicious scallops/risotto cakes with what may have been roasted red pepper sauce. The cakes were crispy fried on the outside but not greasy. Inside were delicious scallops. Just enough for a light lunch.
As the atmosphere is a bit on the noisy side, this would not be a great place for a romantic dinner. We got there about noon and had about a 15 minute wait for a table, so don't go if you are in a hurry.

“Delicious, fresh food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

I guess everyone knows about this place! The place was packed, lots of people waiting by the time we got there (5:30 p.m.). The host was friendly, efficient. He took down our name and told us it may be a 30 mins wait - but we got seated within 20 mins. Not bad. Food and service was great!

“Hospitable, cute and delicious”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Upon entering, one could smell "freshness"...from the open doorway leading to the flower shop next door, and visual senses were heightened with bright decor. We ate breakfast which was served promptly along with good coffee. My egg scramble with gorgozola ($7) included potatoes or a salad which our server boxed to take away. The breads with choice of sourdough, wheat and marble rye appeared homemade. Coffee was good. Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the lunch and dinner menus made me want to go back to try more. Good, fresh food, much of which is from local sources!
