“Great Place”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

On a whim, I went to the Mediteran tonight. It was a slow night, but a very nice experience. The service was great and so was the food. Great nightly specials at a very reasonable price. No alcohol, but that's OK. It's across the street from the Michigan Brewing Company. The place was quiet, which is great for conversation. No loud music, and no TVs to distract.

I will go there again.

“Go elsewhere”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Stopped with a coworker while in downtown at about 2pm, and when we walked in I thought that they were trying to close. The waiter (the only person we saw while we were there) acted like we were putting him out the second we walked through the door so we asked if the were closing and he said "no" sure enough, they were open for hours yet. Despite the fact that there was literally no one else in the building he pushed us all the way to the back and sat us next to the bathrooms. The food was good, the rolls were great and warm despite the fact that they seemed to be from GFS or Cysco, I was happy with the food over all. The service was terrible, the servers attitude was that we somehow interrupting his nap-time, and there was little consideration of the fact that we were paying customers. Near the very end of our meal an older lady came out of the kitchen ans walked past our table to go on break in the back room and pleasantly asked if we had enjoyed our meal. She was the only bright spot in or visit there that day. We both were so off put we agreed that we would not go back there again. If you do not want to be a waiter then get a different job instead of running someones business into the ground with your poor service.

“Tasting Is Believing”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

My first visit to Mediteran was so comforting and delicious that it will be the destination for the next time we dine out with another couple. The menu offers a good mix of German, Middle Eastern and Italian dishes, prepared with care. My pork schnitzel was superb. The only thing missing was a mug of German beer. A liquor license is needed, the sooner the better, Mister Mayor.
