The room was spacious and very clean, in fact, it looked like new carpeting and furniture. Very tastefully decorated. Flat screens were nice, but there seems to be a problem with their cable/digital connection. In the middle of watching something on TV the channel would almost scramble to the point of not being able to see or hear what was going on. Then it would clear up for a while and do it again. This happened on many channels. The WiFi also had a few glitches.
The breakfast was good, hot and plentiful. The pool was a bit chilly. We had a problem with all the unsupervised kids in the pool area though. The parents were all out on the patio drinking beer. They knew it wasn't allowed IN the pool area, so they step outside. It got so bad, we had to ask the front desk to intervene, which they did. The parents were asked to come inside and supervise the birthday party. I'm not faulting the hotel for that, in fact the way they handled it was great.
The room, itself was nice and I would stay here again. I gave it 4 out of 5 because of the little things that would have made this a flawless stay.

We had a family gathering here in June 2012, and used three rooms. The desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating in arranging these close to each other and moving us to the ground floor when we asked. We had a birthday party in the breakfast room, used the pool (which was somewhat cold) and hot tub, and ate breakfast there the next morning--food was fine.

This location is great for traveling through the area, but offers little more than a clean room and an average breakfast. Nothing will blow your socks off, but the property still offers the dependability of most Country Inn & Suites properties, especially for travelers.

This is a fairly typical Country Inn & Suites. Good ,specious rooms, friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast. This location was very affordable, very comfortable. Perhaps not the best of this chain's offerings, but at least standard quality, which is pretty good

Room Tip: had a small king suite on top floor- very quiet and restful

I love country inn and suites, however the one in lansing is at the lower end of the quality spectrum. I think it boils down to a lack of attention to detail. They meet all if the criteria for country inn franchise but it looks as if they do it on a budget.

The hotel itself looks like country inn bought it instead of constructing it. The layout is different than most of them and appears a little dated comparatively. Not necessarily bad, but not fantastic either.

while other country inns breakfasts are served on actual.plates and silverware, the one served here was in paper plates and plasticware. Meets the requirements of a good hot breakfast but on a budget. The breakfast room is also awkwardly laid out and appears as if it was created when purchased as an afterthought instead of being planned for ahead of time.

The rooms were ok. Bed was comfortable, room was comfortable however there were issues that looked like it was being done on a budget. The tvs (as mentioned below) are dated. Late 90s early 00's. The showerhead leaked at some point as it was fixed by highly visible plumbers tape. Again, not major issues but it's the small but visible things that distract from the overall quality of the hotel and franchise.

The pool and spa were nice and many folks used them. Our son loved it but once again, it appeared as if it were being done on a budget. The paint in the pool was cracked in several locations, the water fountain was old and it looked dated.

Overall we had a great stay. If you are thinking of staying here don't let my review dissuade you. I would hope though that the hotel management takes a look at what they can do to fix the small things and bring this country inns from being in the lower end of country inns to the middle.

The beds in the bedrooms are very comfortable and the location is good you can get on and off the highway quickly.

We had a two bedroom suite. They are at the end of a very long hallway. We had my 88 year old dad with us and he had a horrible time making it the long distance to the bedroom. I requested a closer room, and even though based on the parking lot there were not many people staying there, the person at the front desk was not very helpful. Said she could do nothing and would not change us to a closer room. For this reason alone, I would not stay here again. Very poor customer service at the front desk.

The halls are very dark and in warm weather feel like they are not air conditioned. The two bedroom suite is very dark as well. It is two bedrooms and a sitting room with one bathroom (on the web site it says it has two bathrooms). The mattress on the pull out sofa is very thin and spotted with I hate to guess what.

The hotel appears clean but very worn out. The water in the hot tub was only lukewarm.

The woman in the breakfast room was very nice and accomodating. The breakast foods were replenished often.

Kudos to the breakfast lady and comfortable beds but if you have a choice, I'd look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Two bedroom suites are at the very end of the hallways

I am very soory that you had some issues with our hotel. We strive to provide the best possible service and accomodations to our guest and work dilligently to make their stay enjoyable. The 2 bedroom suite that you booked with our hotel are only on the ends of the hallway so there was no other place to move you. I apologize that we could not accomodate you and your guest with another room. If you have anymore questions, I would be happy to discuss them further with you.

After shopping around for some group rates for our youth travel softball team, we landed on this hotel. I was amazed at $75/per night how nice it was! We were VERY pleased. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, beds & pillows were extremely comfortable, the FREE breakfast was AWESOME, and the kids loved the pool! It was close to our tournament and everyone was very happy. We have no complaints....and who cares if the TV wasn't a flat screen? Come on, people, really????

Room Tip: hallways on the 1st floor by the pool may be a little noiser than upper floors, but wasn't a dea...
