We decided to try Martini's despite some of the horrible reviews we read about the manager.
There was one particular review in which the manager was yelling at customers for moving tables around in the upstairs party room to accommodate the number of guests for their graduation party. It truly sounded awful.
The 5 of us decided to try Martini's because we also read about how good the food and pizza was and figured if we played nice with everyone it would be okay. The restaurant was a little difficult to find because there's no sign or address numbers for the building. A parking lot for Martini's is next to the building but, also has no signage. When we got inside, it was very apparent who the manager was as he was the first to greet us and told a staff member where to seat us. We were seated in the bar area at a table top for 6. Shortly after being seated, another patron came over and asked us if they could move the empty chair to their area. All 5 of us just froze, looking at each other, like is this going to be a repeat of the upstairs party room.
Everything went well and as soon as the other patrons left their area, a staff member was very quick to put the chair back "home".
As far as the food, it was very good. The soups were homemade and tasted great. The pizza was excellent. We really had a good time and a good meal. The restaurant is really nice inside, very clean. Knowing about the explosive nature of the manager before hand made for some very interesting watching, but the kitchen serves up some really good food. We would definitely go back there again. However, keep in mind the manager has he ways of doing things. Unfortunately, reviews should be about the food, whether it's good or bad, not if the manager played nice that day.
