“Great food for meat lovers and veggie lovers!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2014

Great value for the food! We have had both vegetarian options and meat lover options and have loved them! Try the stuffed burgers if you like meat, and if you don't, have the black bean burger covered in chili!

“Great Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2013

I went on a snowy Saturday for breakfast with my two daughters and was very pleased with everything. I commented on how good the jam was and they said they made it there! The bacon was done just right for my taste. A good variety of dishes to make breakfast interesting.
We look foreword to trying lunch there soon. It certainly would be worth the block and a half walk if you are staying at the Radission. The staff seems to enjoy working there too.

“It might not seem important”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

But when was the las time you were able to walk into a restaurant and not be assaulted by tv's in every nook and corner? I truly believe ambiance contributes to the food experience. CNBC does not. The Studio Grill almost seems out-of-time. Friendly, fast, and very good food. Three times here and breakfast has yet to disappoint. And they care. The owner's both, independently, came by to ask if my food was ok (of course it was :) during my meals. The smiling staff truly seems to care that you have a great experience (they get it from the owners who lead by example). Brighten your day, escape the media, and have an excellent meal. I definitely will be back.

“Add up charm, personal service and fun choices!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

Under a little red awning in downtown Kalamazoo sits a little charm of a local family owned restaurant called The Studio Grill. Blending traditional diner touches with eclectic menu choices and a fun staff adds up to a great experience. Check out the clever food selections, but customize them to your own tastes. I might not mix chili's, cheddar, and grape jelly together on a burger, but HOORAY for creating fun, interesting combo's that you can't get elsewhere.
So whether you're in the mood for an egg and a piece of fresh bakery toast or a crazy hamburger, this is the place to enjoy them. And don't be afraid to order exactly what you're in the mood for - they seem more than willing to accommodate.

“A gem in plain sight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

A bit of a hole-in-the-wall size wise, but much larger in spirit and comfort. A sunny ambiance and a creative menu make this an unexpected surprise. The staff is friendly and helpful and want you to have a good experience - even a little overeager - but it's forgivable as they're just trying hard to please. Lots of local veggies on the menu - e.g. a wonderful spinach and swiss omelette and blueberry pancakes when blueberries in season, and the coffee is far better than you'd expect. Espresso even. And, there's a terrific newstand next door (Michigan News - best in the region, packed to the gills with newspapers and magazines) - so you can pick up a newspaper or magazine then head for a great meal. Hard to beat, best in Kalamazoo!
