“Good food, owner who cares”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Went for breakfast with my wife recently during the week. Waiter was pleasant but knew very little about food (example: asked if maple syrup was 100% real or was it "flavored" corn syrup - he had no clue but checked quickly...it was not real). OJ was not freshly-squeezed. Coffee was only fair. But the entrees were VERY good (owner is on the grill). Egg scrambles prepared perfectly, homemade potatoes, fresh veggies. Owner came to all tables to ask, sincerely, how things were. If he upgrades a couple of the small things (OJ, syrup, coffee) this spot would earn another star!

The Studio Grill has THE BEST pancakes around! They serve Water Street Coffee and it is delicious. Also, they serve delicious salads in the summer!

“Most delicious breakfast and wonderful service ever!”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

The Studio Grille is the best-kept secret in Kalamazoo! I almost hate to write this review because everyone will want to eat there, thus creating waiting lines. My son took me to breakfast here for Mother's Day and there couldn't have been any better way to spend Mother's Day. No waiting at all! The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, eccentric, (local art displayed), friendly staff and service, great coffee (not watered down) and the food selections are endless and unique. I had french toast with grilled pineapple and cream cheese in the middle which was yummy. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and appreciative of us being there. The cook even came by asking how we liked our breakfast. I will definitely will be going back again!

“Yummmm Yummmmmmmm satisfying food”
Reviewed March 13, 2012

This might be one of the best-kept talked about secrets in town. An unpretentious cozy little cafe in downtown Kalamazoo. From the minute you walk in you are treated like family. Go twice and you are family. Daphne and Craig have perfected homemade sandwiches, soups and breakfasts. The stuffed burgers are incredible and you can even create your own. And, of course, no sandwich is complete unless you accompany it with the incredibly wonderful french fries. Breakfast is filling, satisfying and the eggs are always perfect. The pancakes, yummmmm!! Lots of vegetarian choices. You need to go soon.

“Magical serrano sauce”
Reviewed October 16, 2011

Open for breakfast & lunch in downtown Kalamazoo, Studio Grill is my favorite place for breakfast. Generous mugs of strong coffee and every meal exceeds my tastebuds' expectations which are high to begin with. Breakfast sandwiches may be similar to others', but these always taste so good. The serrano sauce is magical. I always order it for my eggs and potatoes. Stuffed burgers, lots of choices for vegetarians, ice cream, coffees, just top quality cooking overall. The decor is unpretentious and there is seating for about 30+ so it is very cozy.
