My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Kalamazoo House B&B and we had a wonderful time. My husband had stayed there previously for business and raved about it so much that we decided to come for a quick getaway from the city.

The couple who run the B&B are absolutely wonderful. They make everyone feel at home and their customer service is top notch. They make the delicious breakfasts (made to order from a daily menu), socialize with guests during the complementary cocktail hour and provide warm cookies and milk for everyone after 9pm.

The house is gorgeous, full of history and just a 5 minute walk (if that) from downtown Kalamazoo. The rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and beautifully unique. The modern amenities are great too. Our wireless internet was even quicker there than it is at home and when we turned in early one evening, we made use of the extensive free DVD library to catch up on some movie watching.

I would highly, highly recommend the Kalamazoo House to any and all travelers. We'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone we know.

Loved every aspect of my 7 night stay at the Kalamazoo House. From the utterly fresh and delicious home-cooked breakfasts, to the soft white fluffy towels in my bathroom. Laurel and Terry provide for all of their guests needs with gracious generosity. This is a place to go if you want to relax and unwind and be right next door to the best of what Kalamazoo has to offer. I loved the evening happy hour on the front porch and the plate of cookies offered at bed-time. Laurel and Terry have created a very welcoming and comfortable place to stay. You will love it here!

I was impressed in every way with my stay at the Kalamazoo House. Laurel and Terry were consummate innkeepers- friendly, gracious, helpful, and they obviously care very deeply about their B&B and their guests. My room (#3) in their historic 19th-century home was spacious, clean, quiet, and recently redecorated, and I really enjoyed falling asleep to the flickering of the electric fireplace. Touches like fresh flowers in the room every day, freshly baked cookies set out before bed with my name on them, and some of the most incredible homemade breakfasts I've ever had made my stay there truly special. Try the Eggs Benedict or Terry's weekend breakfast specialty (Southern Comfort), join the daily happy hour gathering to share a glass of wine with new friends, and bring a good book to read out on the porches to take full advantage of your stay here.

A few of my other favorites- seeing the Chihuly glass sculpture lit up at night at the art museum next door, being within walking distance to downtown Kalamazoo restaurants (the newly opened Rustica is my favorite), glass art hidden in the garden and nooks in the house, and the innkeepers' hilarious stories (ask Laurel why you should never arrive late to see a movie). Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience. The innkeepers always make the experience and Laurel is a rare find. From suggestions on what to do and things to see, to personal attention that makes you feel as if you're her only guest.
The Inn itself is well appointed and comfortable with enough open spaces that you can relax without feeling that you're imposing on other guests. Located about 3 blocks from the train station and about 2 blocks from the Kalamazoo entertainment district, which includes a movie theater, several above average restaurants, art venues, and clubs, it is well situated for an evening of entertainment.
Last but not least are the breakfast offerings, all fresh and made to order. Come on Eggs Benedict? I've never had better.
Again Laurel, cudos to you and your, staff? Ha, ha. Thanks for a great weekend, we are looking forward to getting back soon when the weather warms up for cocktails on the porch. Who knows, you may even take the place of our Chicago get aways. Thanks again.
