We stayed here because it was walking distance from all the shops and pubs in Kalamazoo. The bed was perfect with the most comfortable sheets and pillows. The service was great and breakfast amazing. It was the first time I ever thought to put asparagus In an omelet. I would love to stay here again.

This was an absolute Great experience for a short getaway for my husband and I. The house itself had beautiful historic charm, with modern amenities. The innkeepers were extremely nice and helpful in locating things to do around town. The breakfast was outstanding... A wide variety to choose from each day. The sheets were amazing... Thinking of buying some. Walking distance to dinner, shops, and entertainment. Our room had its own thermostat controls. Toiletries were provided. 24 hour access to pop, water, tea, and coffee. Highly recommend staying here!!

The physical facility is stunning. The innkeepers are extremely nice and thoughtful. The room was super comfortable. Each room has a wide screen TV and a DVD player. They supply a large selection of DVD’s. Cookies are left for you at night and there is always coffee, tea, and soft drinks for the taking. The interior of the house is so well done that it is really remarkable.
The breakfasts were top notch. They provided a list of about a dozen different dishes the night before. You signed up for what you wanted and when you wanted it. It was really expertly prepared. The variety of different dishes was impressive.
My children gave me a present of a weekend here combined with the beer trail package. Read up on the package on their web site. It is cute, but nothing you can’t do on your own with a little research.
The location is great. Leave your car there and you are walking distance to downtown Kalamazoo.
I have stayed in many B&B’s across the country and I must say that this one is one of, if not the best I have stayed in. Highly recommend it.

Terry was very helpful getting us settled in after a long day of driving. The house is very well kept and breakfast was very good. Having several breakfast choices was very unique. We stayed here 15 plus years ago and notice several improvements. We will be back ! Loved to be within walking distance of several great places to eat !

Pristine home inside and out. The B&B is beautifully restored to its original beauty. Architectural features and period furnishings make the Kalamazoo House an interesting place to stay. Innkeepers Laurel and Terry welcomed us with a brief tour, making us feel at home instantly. We had three rooms for our family, and each one was unique and charming.

The rooms are quiet from outside traffic and other guest rooms. The attention to detail is obvious, from the comfy bedding and towels to the personal plate of cookies and carafe of water each night.

We were there three nights, and breakfast was amazing with plenty of variety. The menu options (approximately 7) were posted the day before, and our selections were served to us in style. Every breakfast started with fresh fruit and pastry options. Outstanding coffee. Excellent tea. (Both available 24 hours.)

We enjoyed the front porch for a late night gathering. The side porch, overlooking a lovely garden, was especially nice in the morning. My husband also enjoyed a quiet morning cup of coffee on the couch outside of our room. There were many pleasant seating nooks throughout the home.

A bonus is the proximity to downtown Kalamazoo - an easy 3 block walk to our wedding reception at Cityscape (a fabulous event venue), free parking and close to a number of entertainment, festival location, restaurants and shops. Also plenty of walking and running options for an energizing start to the day. Overall, a calming and restorative place to be in the midst of an exciting life celebration.

Room Tip: Our family used three rooms (# 3, 6 and 8), and all were fabulous.
