I will be back! I ate lunch with a friend and ordered the Cob salad. It was too huge to eat during my hour lunch for about 7.99. Contained nice slices of chicken breast, avocado, and bleu cheese among other vegetables. The hard boiled egg was a real egg, not just a pre-formed long tube pretending to be an egg. My friend ordered a grilled cheese. It looked like it arrived as kind of panini with a mix of cheeses. She also ordered the cup of chicken dumpling soup. The soup arrived in a standard bowl and was really a thick, cream of chicken soup with dumplings. She didn't finish her lunch either.
The bar is packed at noon, so if one wants time to eat and sit at a table instead of the bar arrive at 11 or 1.

I had passed night light many many times over the years,, never really noticed it. A friend recently recommended it saying food was great. From the outside I expected it to be a dark hole in the wall bar. Not at all, very clean and well lit inside. Nice crowd, I had the steak hoagie.. come hungry..its a BEAST! Nice selection of beers on tap also. I will for sure be a returning customer,

Woman with short hair behind the bar (owner?) made a racist comment to my friend. She seemed to think it was funny. It just made us all feel uncomfortable. That was the last time I went there. Prior visits were uneventful and a little boring.

Best bar food for miles around. Probably the best cob salad outside Chicago's Cheese Factory. Get it with their blue cheese dressing. The juke box music is a bit loud but food makes up for it.

The steak hoagie is a MUST when visiting Night Lights. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices round out a nice place to go while in downtown Jackson. The only complaint was the music (from the jukebox) was too loud-not the best acoustics in there, but a very cool bar area is worth noting.
