We decided to eat here after our go-to Ironwood restaurant was closed for a private party. The restaurant is very clean and brightly lit. The menu is extensive with a little something for everyone to choose from. Our family ordered a wide variety of items, from a giant burrito, to a taco/enchilada combo, to an enchilada plate, to a grilled chicken platter. All of it arrived quickly and was delicious. Three out of the four of our family walked away with boxes of food for another meal. The wait staff worked as a team making sure we always had full glasses and were happy with our meals. If you are in Ironwood, MI and have a hankering for Mexican food, I would recommend checking out El Dorado!

We were introduced to this little place by a friend and have been back several times now. The food is superb, the service is quick, and everyone is really friendly. The portions are probably a little large for me, but that is probably fine for others. When you consider the value it is incredible. Margarita specials on Sunday nights.

El Dorado was highly anticipated, as Ironwood residents greatly appreciated the original location 40 miles away in Ashland, WI. They finally got approval from Lansing to open in 2011, and were granted a liquor license in spring 2012. I do not drink alcohol, so no comment on the margaritas and daquaris available, but other diners seem to enjoy them, along with a varied selection of beers. The fresh salsa and chips set out when you arrive are tasty, and the menu features a wide range of dishes, featuring well seasoned, cooked on site ingredients. Portions are very generous; feel free to ask for a box to take home unfinished goodies. There is a small bar area, and the main dining areas is set for groups of 1 to 4 people, but they can move tables for larger groups. Very enjoyable, and family friendly; I have seen parents with kids enjoying themselves.
