“A gem!”
Reviewed July 4, 2011

Very clean, superfriendly, and an all-round great choice for the night! Apparently it used to be a different sort of motel at one time, and the rooms are quite large. I'm pretty sure it's family run, and it shows. I came in with my dog late at night after calling in a reservation that afternoon. They were were actually waiting for me at the front desk, and after checking in, as I was gathering my things from the car to bring in, the clerk went to my room and turned on the heat and lights. They really did leave the light on for me! :-) They showed many other small kindnesses as well, to me AND my dog.

I drive back and forth from LA to Michigan often, and have stayed at many motels along the way. This one is a gem:-)

Happy trails! :-)

We are traveling across country to move with our pets and so we are staying in Motel 6's. We had a less than stellar experience with a grimy M6 in Southern MI and so I was hoping that this one would be more positive. I was so happy to find that it was. The building looks maintained and the lobby looks nice and comfortable. Very inexpensive at 45.99 + tax. Our room was HUGE, much bigger than most other hotels of this caliber. Everything looked clean as a whistle. We also checked the mattress just in case as is our habit, looked great. The room was even big enough to roughhouse with our 90 lb dog!!! This is an above average Motel 6 with a below average price. Recommend!!

Room Tip: Online reservation made the process quick!

Much larger rooms than most motels. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and the beds are the best I've ever slept on, period! A true value if there ever was one. Very close to the ski resort.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I stopped here after camping in Canada. The room was clean and in good repair. Plenty of hot water with decent pressure. No frills towels and sheets, but in good shape and clean. Typical Motel 6 TV, old and on the small side with poor reception (I didn't complain). Two washing machines and two driers available. Internet access was free and service was typical of other hotels Wifi. The building previously housed a Best Western. A good value. Nearby Lake Antoine Park is a bonus and great for a picnic. There's also a discount on breakfast at two nearby restaurants which is kinda cool.
