Booked rooms for a wedding, when the guest arrived, they had to wait for there rooms to be cleaned, one room smelled like wet dogs, another the a/c unit didn't work, and the block of rooms were NOT all together. The bride had cancelled all the unused rooms prior to the wedding, but after the honeymoon she found that two rooms were charged to her card. It's now almost October and she is still trying to get the charges off her card!!!!! She has gotten no compensation for the hassle she has gone through since July... The hotel asked for her name and address thinking they would send her something, but never received anything. Everyone knows her problem when she calls to figure out why its not fixed yet. The hotel told her its not the first time this has happened for a wedding....
No high expectations for this short, inexpensive overnight stay but it fell far short of acceptable. The furnishings were average, chairs, lamps, TV, hard beds. The bathroom had not been cleaned. There were clumps of paper in the tub drain and lots of long hair on the walls, including an impossible to miss clump on the edge of the tub. Obviously this was not a poor cleaning job but rather it had not been cleaned at all. Thankfully the sheets looked clean in the main room although the floor had not been vacumed and there was dirt/crud on the table between the beds. The front desk had no available rooms to move us to so we cleaned the bathroom ourselves as well as we could with no supplies. They also did not offer us any compensation, although they admitted they had been having 'problems' with housekeeping.
