Brunner's was sold back in October of 2013, so a few of these reviews are of the "old" Brunner's. at one point it was strictly a breakfast and lunch and the new owners, have kept many of the old favorites.
Breakfast is a heck of a great deal and excellent food quality. They use smith co bacon, it's thick cut and a Michigan based company as well. Hash browns are some of ten best i have ever had and the omelet selection is awesome, my favorite is the California omelet. As far as breakfast food quality goes it's top notch. The new owners switched from many frozen, pre-packaged products to homemade instead. The sausage is a Dave's red label, another Michigan based company. Homemade sausage gravy, it has just enough spice.
Lunch, I love the "pick two" half sandwich, soup or mini salad. In my opinion they have the best Greek dressing I have ever had, it's a creamy style and it's pink? I'm not sure how they do it but its awesome. Salads are fresh, cut I'm house, most places use a pre-packaged salad mix, has a funny taste, but these folks use fresh.
Dinner, now they are new to the dinner scene and at first, it was kind of slow to service. But, my last visit was amazing. They do three specials a night, something new and fresh, could be a special, limited steak such as ribeye or filet, a pasta or salmon. The menu will have something for everyone. My favorite appetizer is their spinach dip, stunning, slightly spicy, amazing.
If they had beer and wine I would be here much more often.
