“Remodeled and very nice!”
Reviewed September 8, 2011

We arrived early via Motorcycle and were hoping to get in to the room early. They did make us wait until the official check in time but upon check in the room was very clean, neat, fresh and comfortable. We booked a jacuzzi room which was nicely decorated and spacious for 2 people. The bed was firm but comfortable. We walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner just a few blocks away - there were decent dining options to choose from. The hot breakfast is nice although not many "Hot" options besides biscuits & gravy, eggs, and waffles. Very sufficient for our needs. We are somewhat picky in terms of hotels and I can't find any faults with this hotel - would recommend although I haven't been to any other hotels in Holland.

Room Tip: Jacuzzi rooms are nice & spacious for 2

My husband and I spent two nights here while visiting Holland for a short vacation. The hotel seemed newly remodeled, and the rooms were well-furnished. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room and bathroom were spacious. Breakfast was included as a standard Hampton amenity, and there was a variety of hot and cold options. The game room and pool area were very busy, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy that particular feature.

While we enjoyed our stay, it's important to know that this hotel is very large and busy. Normally, this doesn't bother me, but the walls seemed to be particularly thin. I don't think the guests were being overly loud, but we managed to hear people talking next door and when in the hallway. Because this wasn't something that hotel management could do anything about, we didn't say anything to the staff. But I may think twice about staying here again if I wanted a place that was quieter and more peaceful.

The staff was warm and welcoming upon our arrival. Our second floor room was immaculate and had a nice size balcony which overlooked the indoor pool area. Stairs near our room led directly down to the pool area, which had a game area. There was both an indoor and an outdoor jacuzzi with views of a landscaped pond. Even though our room was off the pool, it was extremely quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location was conveniently located near main attractions. The staff was very helpful in recommending several restaurants and giving us directions to the beach. The complimentary breakfast was quite extensive and good. The free wi-fi was fast. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely stay there again as a family.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the second floor rooms with a balcony facing the indoor pool

I can echo the majority when I say this is a fabulous place to stay when you're in Holland. Cleanliness is very important to me, and I have never been in a cleaner hotel in my life! A nice touch is that on the bed is a duvet that they launder after every guest. so no worries about a dirty bedspread that someone else has used. The room and furnishings looked new - beautiful tile floors in the entry and bathroom, granite countertop, large 4-drawer chest of drawers in the bedroom area and 2 night stands with 2 more large drawers. All the doors were 6-panel, including the closet. A comfortable chair and ottoman were also in the room, along with a desk and office chair. A refrigerator and microwave were also in the room, along with a coffee pot and supplies.

My husband used the indoor hot tub (they also have one outside) and he said it was the cleanest one he'd every been in. The pool area is quite large with lots of seating on 2 levels overlooking it. The area around the pool also has a pool table, foosball, and air hockey table. Great for a weekend away with the kids!

The free breakfast was incredible. The day we were there they had make your own waffles, french toast, eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), sausage patties, toast, bagels and cream cheese, danishes, several kinds of cereals, 2% and skim milk, apples, bananas, oranges, and yogurt. More than enough food for a hearty breakfast!

You can't go wrong if you stay here.

The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are: the pillows on the bed are the small, uncomfortable square ones I hate, the refrigerator was noisy and had a high pitch whine, and the air conditioner made a lot of noise when it went off and on, waking us up several times. And although we never heard the people on either side of us, we did hear a lot of noise coming from the floor above - like someone jumping up and down on the floor.

The most memorable part of our visit here was the customer service. One night my husband asked directions to a chain steakhouse he heard was in the area. The person at the front desk had a whole list of chain restaurants with directions. He also gave us a list of local restaurants, saying they like to promote the local economy. We decided to go to the restaurant he told told us about, and he was spot on - great food and a fun environment! The next day my husband called the front desk to find out if they had a small store in the hotel where he could buy a battery for his laptop mouse. The person at the desk said no, but she checked the office to see if there was one in a drawer. When she couldn't find one she asked the maintenance man, who did find one. When my husband went to pick it up they refused to let him pay for it. We were blown away - who does this sort of things nowadays?

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the top floor so you don't hear the people on the floor above.

We've stayed in this hotel several times while transporting our son to and from college. I don't believe you can beat this hotel and its amenities for the price. Clean, quiet rooms, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff and extensive, healthy breakfast selections.

We stayed here for a quick overnight trip and loved it. They upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge. The room and whole hotel was very clean and fresh. The staff was so nice, even sending up housekeeping to vaccuum after we tracked sand in from the beach. The suite had a bedroom, living room and kitchen. The free breakfast was very nice with waffles, eggs, fruit and assorted breads and cereals. The pool is huge and is surrounded by a game room and sitting area. We will stay here again!

We recently stayed at this hotel three nights for a long weekend getaway. We found the hotel to be just as we expected for a Hampton Inn. I mean that in a positive way. I expect Hampton Inns to have better than average rooms, linens, finishes, breakfasts and swimming pools. This hotel met each of those expectations. We found the finishes in our room to be very nice. Our room came with a microwave and mini-fridge that were held in an attractive and useful cabinetry setup. We found the cabinets very useful for storing snacks and the like. We enjoy the swimming pool and found it be very nice as well. Breakfasts consisted of a good variety of hot and cold items. We stayed on a weekend and breakfast was very busy with busy guests. To the hotel’s credit, the demand for food was met. All in all this is a very nice hotel. We’ve also stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door and found the two to be very comparable. You can't go wrong with either.
