On this part of our vacation, we decided to stay at a lower cost hotel but one that we thought would be good because we've stayed at this brand before. The issues started when we found that the room was barely big enough to hold the two of us along with our luggage. We were to be here for 4 days. Some of the towels were ragged, we had ants in the room, especially the bathroom, the paper cups were not replenished in 4 days so I ended up using one for 3 days and the tub drain would not stay open so showers became a slippery foot bath. It was fixed halfway through our stay. Breakfast was typical for this type of hotel but only enough seating for maybe 10. With bus loads of guests It was tough eating. The hotel was quiet enough. We'd seek another hotel chain in the future.

This hotel was a great deal for the price. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The property and our room were very clean. My bed was comfortable but my buddy said hers needed to be replaced. Location to downtown and from the highway was good. The downside was our clock didn't work and neither did the in-room coffee pot. The coffee pot was promptly replaced but the clock was not. An annoying problem was the canned lights in the ceiling faintly strobbed and reflected off the ceiling all night. Upon talking to the front desk, they said it was a common comment. A Continental breakfast was included but the seating was very limited and the area was very crowded. A tour bus at the hotel added to the chaos. The hotel was quiet and a very good restaurant/pub is located next door. I would stay again if I go back to the area.

Room Tip: The ice machine is located next to the elevator so the adjacent rooms should probably be avoided. Hi...

This is our favorite hotel to stay when we visit The Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan. Great rooms, staff very helpful and great rates. Also, the hotel is pet-friendly which means a lot. In future travels, we will always look for a Microtel in the area we are vacationing.

This was our first stay at a Microtel Inn, when we went to the Tulip Festival. The location was good. The building and grounds were well kept, the staff was friendly and helpful and no complains about the room it was clean and quiet. We made our reservation last minute to go to the festival and this was the lowest priced room we could get on short notice. After staying there we felt the cost was "Too Much" for what was offered. There is no pool, hot tub, exercise room and the breakfast was lacking a choice of foods. There is not much seating for breakfast so we had to take our drinks to our room. We feel we could have stayed at a budget motel and lucked out with a clean room for half the price.

Thank you for voicing your concern. We are in the process of improving our breakfast selection and the breakfast area itself to better accommodate our guests. Our pricing does fluctuate during certain times of year, especially during The Tulip Time Festival. I hope that the next time you are in Holland you give us a second chance to see the improvements we are making and that your next stay with us will be worth your money.
