Description: After a complete renovation of the space previously occupied by Till Midnight, Theodore’s was opened June 4, 2010 inside the beautifully renovated Baker Lofts, located in picturesque West Michigan and just a few blocks away from downtown Holland. The space was designed by a local designer and is accented by local art. Our notable tables were created from repurposed hard wood doors from the original Baker Lofts and all of our kitchen equipment is refurbished and given a second life in our open kitchen. Our wine cellar is a combination of hand collected and specially chosen labels and housed in our glass fronted walk-in wine cellar. We are a family owned restaurant whose mission is to deliver the finest quality of food, wine, and service to the community and surrounding areas. Our desire is to create an intimate atmosphere that friends and family can gather in a comfortable social setting. Our staff is educated in all aspects of the restaurant with attention to service being of the utmost importance. We believe in growing together and welcome any comments or suggestions. So, welcome to Theodore’s, may your stay with us be pleasant, rewarding, and initiate many returns

“Great atmosphere for dinner! We were a group of 15!”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We went here because we were looking for food that didn't come all fried! We were 8 adults and 7 children ages 3-16. There is a children's menu. Adults were all very pleased with our cocktails (just not the blueberry mojito). LOVED the vanilla martini and the tiramisu martini! My husband and I typically share two appetizers, get our own salads and share a main dish. The fish tacos were yummy. The steaks were well prepared to order. The pork loin was super yum! Loved the use of seasonal fruit! The chicken was a big hit as well. If we didn't live 4 hours away, we would be back sooner! The only issue was that it was a bit difficult to find. We parked in the lot not realizing that the front door is on the street side of the building.

Thanks for the great review! Although our restaurant is small we can definitely accommodate larger parties! I apologize personally for the blueberry mojito as I was most likely the one who made it (its a new one for me, but I've since perfected the recipe!). I'm glad you were able to find other drinks to your liking off our seasonal martini list. I'm sorry you had troubles finding the restaurant, the location can be tricky! There are multiple entrances to the building, the most often used are the front and back entrances. The front entrance is right on 24th Street and comes up down the hall from the restaurant by the Baker Loft event space. Parking is available on the street but those spots can fill quickly. The back entrance is located behind the building where there is more of a parking lot. There's a large staircase that leads into the main hall area. Either entrance works, although the back is more direct. We're currently working on ideas to make our signage bigger and easier to follow! Thanks for the review and we can't wait to see you again!

“Out of place but still out of this world.”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

This place is fantastic. Menu was very creative and tasteful. Ingredients are very fresh and balanced. While not cheap, this place is a relative bargain as i would have easily had to pay double in Detroit. This chef really understands food. Holland maybe a small city filled with pizza shops, bar food, and lackluster family Italian joints. But now they have a genuine big city restaurant that would fit right in Detroit, Indy, and Chicago. This place is highly recommended for tourists visiting from those areas. And definitely recommended for locals who are tired of the same old fashion "Holland" staples.

Thanks for your review! Come in again soon, starting the 15th our new Summer Menu makes it's debut! We still have the fish tacos of course but we've jazzed them up for summer!

“Delicious and Inventive”

Have eaten here twice now, and this is a wonderful place to dine. Maybe too urbane for little Holland, but give it a try. Great shared plates, great chef, great wine cellar.

“A lovely quiet place for a secluded dinner”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

This is in an old furniture factory, with wooden floors and a lovely old ambience. The restaurant is quiet and secluded. I had the fish tacos, which were wonderful, if just a little spicy. Our friends had the New York strip and loved it. Great service and great atmosphere for an intimate dinner. The desserts are yummy, but selections are limited, which usually means they make them themselves. Will be back.
