Owner description: A visit to Nelis' Dutch Village is like a step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago on a day when a festival came to town. Watch old Dutch craft demonstrations and Dutch klompen dancers. Taste 22 kinds of Dutch cheeses, beautiful Dutch architecture and listen to the Golden Angel street organ. Includes unlimited rides on the Ferris wheel, carousel and Dutch chair swing ride. Unique shopping, Dutch cafe and pub, and fudge and ice cream.

If you have kids I highly recommend you go here! The candle making shop is awesome and make sure you check out the shoe factory where they make the wooden shoes! Pretty cool, definatly worth stopping by!

Visited on 4/23/2012. Doesn't worth a $10 entree fee at all but if you want to spend then go ahead. But you must visit the gift shop outside which doesn't have entry free. Amazing candle works and crafts that you will love to have and I am sure you will definely buy someting at least. You can also see wooden Dutch shoes and take photos wearing them, etc. I would reccoment to go in the village if you have children, they will know and enjoy about the culture and have some fun.

The perfect picture of spring for me, was always the tulips from calendars I received at Christmas. Growing up in south Florida meant the same tropical plants year after year. Flower bulbs came in a little pot sold in the grocery store. I always wanted to see the huge flower beds of hundreds of blooms all at one time.

Dutch Village gave me that experience even tho the park wasn't quite opened when we visited early April. Since the winter was warmer than usual, many of the flowers had bloomed and it was so nice to walk the pathways capturing them for my own calendar.

We really enjoyed the Holland Candle carver store and purchased a piece of fudge too. Dutch Village is a wonderful spot to take children, but it's a nice place for seniors to stroll also.

Both my kids have visited here for school trips and I went along.
So much fun and learned alot about the culture of Dutch Village, from the beautiful landscape to the making of wooden shoes and eating good food.
