Another nice find in Holland. City Vu Bistro is on the top (5th) floor of the City Flats Hotel, an enviro-conscious hotel at the north end of downtown. Like the hotel, the Bistro is contemporary in style, airy, nice views. Earthy colors (for MI travelers, think Zazio's without the red and orange colors). Food was quite good and service attentive to our particular culinary requirements which required some changes to the prepared dishes. No problem there. Sufficient wine list. Not expensive. Nice place to relax on a late Saturday afternoon.

Something different w a nice view, but food is just average. Go for happy hour, but not dinner. Happy hour 1/2 price snacks & drink deals are nice to enjoy while enjoying the view.

The view was nice on a Sunday morning. Omelets were very good and reasonably priced. The waiter was very new to his job. Very quiet restaurant on a Sunday morning when supposedly the hotel was full.

It was definitely worth braving the crisp fall day to enjoy the sunset and a great glass of wine supplemented with a wonderful cheese and fruit plate!

The two fish dishes were outstanding, but the service was completely incompetent. I've never been asked mid-bite with food still on our dinner plates if we'd like to see the dessert menu. Perhaps a rookie with insufficient training, but the waitor's tempo was clumsy and ineffective.
