We were in the downtown area of Holland visiting 3 weeks early because the tulips are blooming ahead of their Tulip Festival. We inquired around town about a good place to eat lunch and this place got good recommendations both for their buffet and their coffee so we went there (one store owner had asked if we liked coffee, and we said we did).
It is on the top (5th) floor of a newer hotel, the CityFlats. We were seated near a window with a good view (after requesting it) and we said we would have their buffet. The place appears to be a favorite of local business people, although there were some people with one or two children there, as well as visitors.
The buffet consisted of a very good soup (It varies by day), a salad bar with good choices of Romaine lettuce & greens, spinach, cucumber slices, egg, cheese toppings, cherry tomatoes, carrots, etc. and 4 (?) dressings including a very good creamy raspberry dressing; plus there were eight different pizza-like slices on "flat" breads. It was all very tasty. We ordered coffee, regular, and decaf and they bring large French Press Coffee pots to your table. It was hot and very smooth flavor.
The tables are covered with disposable brown paper over linen table clothes, and the unusual silverware is "long" with round handles. They keep your ice water glasses filled and the water is good (not chlorine taste).
The buffet only cost $8.99 per person which we considered very reasonable, and the coffee was just $2.00.
