How the Boatwerks could be rated as low as 40th in the Holland area blows my mind. We hadn't been in Holland in many years, but my wife and I took a close friend out to lunch in early October of '12. The friend chose the Boatwerks since she lived in Holland. It was a wonderful dining experience. The server was genial and very attentive. The menu is wide-ranging and reasonable. And the food was excellent. Plus, the decor was elegant...and there was a view of water. How can ice-cream parlors and pizza joints get rated above a fine restaurant like this? That makes little sense.

Nice restaurant on the water. We have been here numerous times; usually good food but the service can be slow. The happy hour deals are great.

Since moving to Holland just over a year ago, I've had the opportunity to dine at Boatwerks several times and have never been disappointed!

I've dinned outside a few times and inside, both at the windows overlooking the lake as well as at an interior table (but I still had a view of the sunset).

I've dined with family and with friends visiting from out of town and everyone has really enjoyed our experience there. The food is very good and the menu is diverse. Even though this restaurant is very popular and there is often a bit of a wait, I've never felt rushed to finish my meal and get out the door -- a great plus!

It is fun to dine outside and watch a boat dock right near your table. So, I guess you could say they come by land and by sea! But it is really Lake Macatawa. If 007 were in the area, he would probably scuba in for his dinner. . .

Holland has a unique culture and this restaurant is a good example of what is special about this area and its people.

The 2 oz pours of 3 different wines is always fun, but the selection lacked complex wines that are worth comparing. The food was ok, the service was ok (the handheld electronics and disjointed wait staff resulted in both ineffective and inefficient - exactly the opposite of what they were shooting for). The sunset was terrific.

Good food, reasonable prices. Servers very nice. Only bad thing to say was that their Margarita was HORRIBLE! Other than that, all was good!
