“Tasty food; loud atmosphere.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This restaurant in the very buzzing downtown Holland is architecturally interesting, with an older and very high ceiling, along with signs and things that are presumably from the city's history on its walls.
The food is very good, but don't plan on a quiet dinner. It's quite loud in there, no doubt in part due to the high ceiling and the length of the counter-style bar. If you can choose your spot, pick a booth; they have high backs and can muffle the noise a bit.

“Great food - Great service”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Nice casual atmosphere. There was a musical event in the downtown area and this was so convenient for us. The service staff was very attentive and helpful. Surprised the wait was short. We'll visit again when in the area.

“Not what it used to be”
Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

Been here for many years but the last few times the help has been a little less then friendly. As we waited for a booth the hostess actually stood at the stand with her chin resting in her hand. When we got to a table we sat there for 10 mins with no acknowledgement. Even though 2 different waitresses walked by and what appeared to be the manager. They were busy but not busting at the seams . We get if you can't get to us right away but a quick " I'll be right with you" goes a long way. We finally got up and walked out and the manger just watched us and proceeded to pick up our silverware to clear if for the next customers. We used to LOVE this place but in the last year+ it just doesn't seem to hold the same atmosphere it once did . The food has always been pretty good but the lack of customer service has left a bad taste in our mouth :(

“My advice don't get the soup bar.”
Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

Last time I went here I had the fish taco's. They were very good. They had a special on perch I should have ordered. I tried the clam chowder first, it had hardly any clams, and no taste, I then tried the chicken corn chowder, again it was lacking chicken. So my advice is stay away from their soup.
