I stayed for two nights while.mynson attended a baseball camp. Great location, clean and quiet room and a welcoming front desk staff.

The rooms could use a little sprucing up but having the large lobby was nice.

I think the Dow Center may be not only the nicest place to stay but also the most affordable.

When in Hillsdale I always try to stay here. Love staying on campus--it's actually quiet most of the time as students aren't permitted to hang out in the hotel rooms. There's a nice sitting area and a computer available in the lobby. There's a snack bar and student cafeteria in the fairly new student union a quick walk next door. Visitors can purchase food in the cafeteria and the Sunday brunch seems popular with the locals (and students). Since the library is open late it's a nice place to read and relax instead of the hotel room (check out the cool heritage room).

The rooms are pleasant and have single shot coffee makers. Two floors with stairs and elevator.

Since it's a small college you're likely to see the college president strolling through and the students are always pleasant and willing to answer questions if you need assistence.

Though I've never asked I believe guests can ask at the front desk about arrangements for using the student gym.

Room Tip: Any room is good. There is a room on the second floor that's larger, has a table and 4 chairs, slightly larger bathroom and a pull out sofa if you desire more space than the standard hotel room that offers 2 doubles beds and a desk.

Although this facility is on the Hillsdale College campus, you don't need to have any kind of college-related plans to be a guest here. My friend and I were in Hillsdale for a theater performance, but when I made reservations, no one asked me why I was staying there.

The service was wonderful, with knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer questions. We had questions about restaurants, shopping, and driving directions, and were very pleased with help we got at the desk.

Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom was equipped with a generous supply of thick, absorbent towels, as well as a nice assortment of soap and other personal items. I was delighted to find a Keurig coffee machine, instead of the usual instant or drip coffee maker. There was no microwave or refrigerator, which is really the only drawback we found.

The free Wifi worked just fine, and the room had enough outlets for all our electronic gadgets. We were delighted with the reading lights mounted on the ceiling above each bed. I'd like to see that more often!

The hotel is next to the student union, which has a family dining room open to guests, and two snack bars. The book store has snack foods and personal items for sale as well. The campus is just minutes away from downtown and a variety of restaurants.

Parking is ample and conveniently located.
