Very extensive collection of antique cars on large grounds. Not very close to much other than Gull Lake. Nice for a visit while vacationing in the lake area if the weather is lousy for outdoor activity.

The best collection of vintage American cars I have seen. There are a couple of foreign makes but truly a great bunch of Cadillacs, Lincolns, Fords Chevys and a Stout.

This museum requires several hours to fully cover.

My only concern is that i is spread among several buildings which could prevent this from being a great rainy day visit.

Our second visit to the Gilmore Classic Car Museum was as interesting as the first. This car museum has individual buildings for Packards, Cadillacs, Pierce Arrows, pedal cars and others. More displays are on the way with 4 new buildings or additions under construction including a Ford dealership with service bays. We had the opportunity to ride in a couple of the vehicles at a special event, but the best thing was the staff who absolutely know EVERYTHING about every car and company represented there. They have driving tracks, a railroad track observation tower, a Shell station authentically preserved, a diner which serves as their restaurant, a house full of miniatures and doll houses, and beautiful grounds. This is a history lesson in one stop from buggy days to the first cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and some famous vehicles with photos of the cars and their owners. If you have a whole day to devote to seeing it, there is enough to keep you moving. If you just have a few hours, get the maps at the admission desk and prioritize your visit. Either way and for whatever the ages of your companions, this place is a gem. Gotta say, I just LOVE the displays of all the hood ornaments and company badges and had a good laugh at the pedal cars!

The exhibits are fantastic even if you are not a car buff. The grounds are very well kept and easy to navigate. My only advice is to perhaps get an ice cream or coffee at the diner. The food is not good but the atmosphere is worth a visit. Enjoy!

Spacious setting, uniquely set up collection..

I went there for vintage motorcycle days. A true treat.

History pours from every barn . I don't know car history all that much, but really enjoyed the eye candy.
